It is officially part of the country Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and 35 km / 22 miles away from the main island Trinidad. Why did we visit Tobago? It is a Caribbean island full of sand, sunshine and ocean, so it is perfect for a beach vacation. Furthermore, it is not your average resort island, well it is not a resort island at all, which makes it great of travelers looking for authentic experience. Majority of the tourist in Tobago are local tourist visiting from Trinidad. It is one of those off the beaten track locations with white sand empty beaches.
